Małopolska has been awarded the title of “European Entrepreneurial Region” for 2024, confirming its dynamic economic development and effective support for entrepreneurship. The region has attracted investments from global giants such as Cisco, Philip Morris, Google and MAN Trucks, which testifies to its huge business potential.

For years, Małopolska has been creating a climate conducive to the development of new companies. The region is a cradle of innovative solutions, as evidenced by the growing number of start-ups and registered businesses. European funds for 2021-2027, amounting to more than 300 million euros, allocated for research, development and support of entrepreneurship, enable the implementation of ambitious projects and development of the regional economy.

The capital of Małopolska, Krakow, is gaining high places in prestigious international rankings. In 2024, the city was included in the “Top 10 Large European Cities of the Future,” and also ranked first in Forbes' national ranking of “Business-Friendly Cities.” Krakow, as a dynamically developing city, attracts the attention of investors and entrepreneurs from all over the world.  

Małopolska: The Engine of Poland's Economy 
 Projects implemented in Małopolska have a positive impact on Poland as a whole. The region's GDP accounts for as much as 8% of the country's GDP, which shows its importance in the context of the national economy.

It is home to universities such as the Jagiellonian University, the AGH University of Science and Technology, the University of Economics and the University of the Commission of National Education, which offer a wide range of majors and educate future leaders in various fields. Such as at the Academic Computer Center of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, where the fastest supercomputers in Poland - Helios and Athena - are at work.
