Małopolska is a thriving region in southern Poland, with a rich and colourful history. A huge number of monuments and museums lets you learn the past of this unique region. Aficionados of sports activities will appreciate 3000 km of biking trails and the chance to raft down the Dunajec River Gorge. Amateurs of extreme thrills will find Energylandia satisfying – it’s the largest amusement park in Poland. For relaxation seekers, Małopolska has 12 spas on offer, including Krynica-Zdrój, Muszyna, and Szczawnica. 255 constructions in the Wooden Architecture Route do pose quite a challenge for fans of architecture.
The land is also famous for its abundant cultural life and hosting various types of events. The region’s capital boasts a range of theatre performances, concerts, and festivals for every season of the year. Let’s not forget the sheer volume of sporting events that have had their venues in Małopolska. This summer, the great endeavour that was European Games unfolded. 6380 players vied in 29 disciplines. Some of them enjoyed the status of European championships; in many others, players contended to qualify directly for the next year’s Paris Olympic Games. It’s yet another proof that in this province, anyone can find something for themselves.
